The mistake is to presume some senior figures in education do not agree with Reform, so it is not always caving but agreeing. See below from the Guardian on Danny Kruger, referring to James Orr, Cambridge academic who advises Reform - and JD Vance! But sure, universities are hotbeds of lefties etc.
