This is an interesting point about the rapid change in industry that was the biggest impact to many cities that relied on manufacturing. I wonder if cities that were once industrial hubs are now reluctant to bring back manufacturing at the risk of a repeat of past events.

As a high school teacher I try to explain this to students but it seems many of them have this ingrained in the already. Focusing on being good humans needs to be embedded in the learning as much as possible!
