A decomposing president who is easily fooled and is only running on his cruel and self-serving instincts is the ideal puppet of the wealth and oligarchical classes interested in dismantling government and requiring widespread oppression to continue hoarding resources.

With the Epstein emails at a new fever pitch, please read @sarahkendzior.bsky.social’s 2022 “They Knew” (as well as her prolific other writings) — it is a window into the past about things that seem only to be “discovered” now. Strongly recommend, I owe a lot to her thinking/writing.

Our job now is to recognize this worsening status quo isn't worth saving and to start creating, together, not just a vision of the future, but a shared struggle that brings us together in opposition to fascism but also the guardians of that collapsing status quo.

The world was getting stupider, driven by tech, even before AI began rotting the brains of students in particular. What are our chances of stopping the rot? Or will intelligence just wither like sword-fighting and blacksmithing did before? Me @financialtimes.com on.ft.com/3IjJFVO - free to read

Tucker Carlson and those of his ilk are against war with Iran because they're aligned with the Putinist / Alexander Dugin ideology that wants to create ethno/religious states that dominate their spheres of influence.

That's it. And it would help if this kind of obvious context was made available.

Really fascinating that years ago all political and economic focus was steered toward tech to the detriment of education, critical thinking, and disciplines like the humanities that promote empathy and we ended up in a fascist tech dominated dystopia where everyone’s drowning in conspiracy theories.

The thing about Curtis Yarvin is that his ideas are shallow plagiarisms of monarchists and fascists and the only reason he has any influence is because the tech oligarchs are desperate for an ideology that gifts them legitimacy and they’re actually dumb as shit.

So if you’re in Canada or Australia or any country that’s just voted to keep out a Trump-like government, then email your MPs to tell them to fund higher education properly. The crisis is real and it’s bigger than Trump.

A reminder that the crux of MAGA is offering true believers empty “victories” that mean nothing while changing literally everything for the benefit of the wealth class controlling the movement.

It’s a death cult brandishing fake “miracles” and capitalizing on a total lack of hope in anything better
