Fandom is about community not commodity. Engagement (with fics/art) is meant to build relationships and bond over shared interests, not seen as an owed transaction (by either side, creator or viewer).

Draw that problematic ship, write that toxic dynamic, explore the depths of the human condition through visual and written artistry. Those who shun exploration will never appreciate the freedom to create, to, explore and to learn. Wither it be soft or horny, enjoy it in the safe space of fiction.

i really can't express just how much i love fanfiction. there are so many different kinds of authors and writing styles out there for us to read all for free. we get to enjoy a stranger's insights into fandom for absolutely no cost and get emotionally destroyed in the process. god i love fanfiction.
