I have a feeling if 2 maps get added they'll be new ones.
Splatoon 2 had 14 new maps, 3 currently has 12

If said update also gets 2 new maps, Splatoon 3 will have 25 regular maps and 7 salmon run maps
Splatoon 2 had way more because of the shifty stations but if you remove those, It's pretty comparable.
Splat 2 actually only had 23 regular maps and 4? Salmon Run stages.
So maybe they'll stop here for 3

That would follow current patterns so I figure sizzle season 2024 will be exact this

Seems like the teams development will be shifting back to Animal Crossing and Splatoon 4 soon after Side Order.
