And what might happen beyond global civil society? Big donors are also involved in international institutions. Might their message change too to maintain funding? The power of billionaires goes beyond money. They have a message, an audience, and they are well-positioned in the structure.

Bill Gates is an important actor of climate philanthropy and it’s important to consider the effects of that message shift on global climate governance. Many NGOs have included climate in their framing of projects to attract funding. Is this likely to change in the coming years?

Yes! Then if you do miscarry they will tell you that has nothing to do with anything you did. Which I’m sure is true, yet it’s v. hard to think that way when you’re constantly told you shouldn’t eat this, take those drugs or use that face cream because we don’t know their effects on pregnancy…

A common response to pregnancy (i.e. pushing through) is not necessarily a good one. And certainly not a necessary one.

As if something that happens to many people can’t be that hard or deserving of special circumstances.
Actually, you should not only push through, but keep it to yourself. Because what if you miscarry and you told all those people? Then they would have to know about your miscarriage too...
