I started birdwatching recently and got myself a second-hand Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. Here's a damp and adorable Long-tailed Tit that I caught on a lunch break.
🆕 No. 011 - Long-tailed Tit
📍 Caught at Park
🌿 Grass / Flying

A tiny, round bird with a long tail and soft pink, white, and black feathers. It flits through woodlands and gardens in lively, close-knit flocks, calling often.

First I was like, "Vic, you're probably being too pessimistic about vibe coding and digital #accessibility ," but then I was like, "This is the year of adding journos to war plan group chats, don't tell me about pessimism," and so I hit publish.

Do people read the terms and conditions before clicking accept?
I assume most don't, and even when we do, those are digest. TOSAbout is a list of company terms and conditioned, explained in simple language, to understand how shady those are, before you click “accept”

The spacing between "Ana" and "de Armas" on the Ballerina poster is really bugging me. Her name’s not usually styled like that, but am I just looking at it through an English-centric lens?

I built a bluesky bot that monitors when Federal US .gov domains are added or deleted.

bsky.app/profile/fed-...

It will update 4x a day and help you notice things like waste.gov or dei.gov (both just registered) or that PSLF.gov was removed. Share widely and feedback appreciated!

Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use #camelCase or #PascalCase in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have #DoctorWhoRewatch ("Doctor Who Rewatch") or #doctorwhorewatch ("doctor whore watch.")

Did you know Bluesky has a setting that will remind you to add alt text before posting?

Go to "Settings," then "Accessibility." Select the checkbox for "Require alt text before posting."
