Fun fact, an older definition for "errand" is a "mission." So instead of saying "I need to run an errand," you could say "I need to complete a mission."
Definition of ERRAND
a short trip taken to attend to some business often for another; the object or purpose of such a trip; an oral message entrusted to a person… See the full definition

Sometimes, I'm not sure I want to read, but I pick up a book anyway and pretty soon, an hour or two has passed, and I realize reading was exactly what I needed.

"That's what it is to care for a person," Toby said. ... "If you're not afraid, you're not doing it right."

To throw out of a window.

Now that seems like a very useful word.

First line comparison:

The Hobbit:
"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit."

Tress of the Emerald Sea:
"In the middle of the ocean, there was a girl who lived upon a rock."

Coincidence? Knowing Brandon Sanderson, probably not.

Learned a new word:

𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿
Noun. Old British slang for a 4-wheeled hansom cab (a horse drawn carriage).

From 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘱 by Jonathan Auxier:
"Growlers and omnibuses crossed in every direction—the while city was a confusing swirl of hooves and wheels and shouts."

Tress of the Emerald Sea is possibly my new favorite Sanderson novel. It’s hilarious, fun, and satisfying, and I love Tress so much.

It’s very clean, but does have some bloody scenes.

Check out my blog for the full content review. The website is a work in progress, so no judging. 😄
