➡️Unlike other legal instruments in the Pact, the Screening Regulation does not modify existing rules. Instead, it codifies practices often previously undertaken informally or only formalised in law or policy at the national level which form part of external border management.

This isn’t just a distant crisis—it implicates us all.

As EU citizens 🇪🇺 and taxpayers 💰, we are funding policies that enable these abuses. The EU continues to support and finance Tunisia’s (and Libya - among others) border control operations, despite mounting evidence of human rights violations.
