AI sceptic Emily Bender: ‘The emperor has no clothes’ I suggest this is widely read. At least to get another take. And of note too that her co-authors, senior members of the ethical AI team at Google, lost their jobs at the company shortly after their publication.

Scary, slightly hopeful that there will be effective pushback against this manifestation of governance by greed and narcissism. AI race, like climate change & war, is the end of life & beauty as we know it, so some can get richer.
