Bellara. Whatever I show her, it's guaranteed she'll like it.
Zev is a close second, though.

I love how Leliana is a bit plump in this picture. The cute kind of plump. The "I live a nice cozy life" kind of plump.

November 10, 2025 at 11:17 AM

I suspect that, of all these, only beer is not a luxury drink if you live in Skyhold. Everything else only grows in very hot climates and has to be imported from places like Seheron, which is at war. The Crows live further north, but even then, they must pay a small fortune for their coffee.

Partly.
My very-very-very first DAI romance was him. My Adaar kissed him once.
But then we came to Skyhold, and down the wall comes Hawke, and he's male. Only then I learned that my Keep state didn't get synced.
I restarted the game and chose Josie this time.

November 6, 2025 at 10:55 AM
It does sound doable when you put it like that.
Ugh, I want to be a billionaire just to buy out BioWare.
November 3, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Actually, THAT level of depth is too much even for Origins, I think. It would be way more than just six prologues.
The Witcher 2 is the only AAA game I can remember that really changes significantly due to player choices (path of Roche and path of Iorveth are entirely different). Just too expensive.
November 3, 2025 at 8:53 PM
I've actually seen such a mechanic once already (one of your companions a mole, and it's random in every playthrough). But that one was a visual novel, so five different routes were not that costly.
AAAs hardly ever go for anything like that, sadly.
November 3, 2025 at 8:36 PM
Wow, your first suggestion is great. There would always be one in every playthrough, but it'd depend on your actions and/or random. And each of them would have their own reasons, and there'd be two separate companion quest storylines: one normal, one traitor.
Perfect, but too much for an AAA game.
November 3, 2025 at 8:34 PM
And since Lucanis and Neve can get together, a betrayal by one would break the other's heart. Drama!
November 3, 2025 at 8:28 PM
That would be nice, yes. The Mourn Watch is something many fear outside Nevarra, so having the option to reject it and get Emmrich to turn on you for that… it would certainly add some depth.
November 3, 2025 at 8:23 PM
So, if I had to choose one, it would be Neve. Give me a Venatori!Neve. With an option to redeem her like we had with Loghain.
November 3, 2025 at 7:22 PM
If it was Neve, she'd be doing this for Minrathous. I can actually very much imagine a more cutthroat Neve who does _what it takes_ for her city, Loghain style. She could've been Venatori, and through her, we could've had insight into the Venatori, actually making them more than just bogeymen.
November 3, 2025 at 7:21 PM
If it was Bellara, that would be a dramatic case of "don't believe your eyes". Seeing that cute little kitten show her claws would be epic. She could've been working for Anaris.
If it was Emmrich… well that would just be too obvious. Make the necromancer the bad guy? That would just be bad taste.
November 3, 2025 at 7:16 PM
If it was Lace, she'd be working for the Inquisition, simple as that. We'd have to prove to the Inquisitor that we're worthy.
If it was Lucanis, he'd make the perfect adorable villain. It would turn out the Crows are generally against us, and we'd have to win them over or defeat them.
November 3, 2025 at 7:14 PM
If it was Davrin, it would be a tragic story of a man torn between his duty to the Wardens and his duty to the Veilguard.
If it was Taash, it would've been consequences of some rash decision of theirs, and their quest would be to get them out of it.
