We are in a very dark time in a lot of ways, but yesterday’s news is extremely bad for authors and libraries. We will see fewer types of books made widely available.

Please, if you value diverse voices, seek out authors writing in their spheres and support them.

If anyone reading this is wondering why so many people on the pro-science end of the spectrum are so viscerally opposed to letting Dr Henry anywhere near the CMOH job, here's a thread for you. Due to her legacy of failure there are a lot of reasons, so it's fairly long:

Anyone else noticing the surge of desperate efforts to retroactively manufacture ambiguity from those responsible for basic failures throughout the pandemic?

It's simple. Aerosol transmission was known to be a major and serous risk since day 1, requiring N95s etc.

Dr. Henry failed to convey that.
TFW you give a talk about rewriting history in which you, wait for it, rewrite some history.

Dr. Henry claims she's always been nuanced about value of masks and about how COVID is spread, but the record says otherwise.

Seems like we hit a nerve!

I wonder who's paying for the crisis comms. Telus? (see North Korean style vanity film)

BC taxpayers?

As soon as we find out who Carney's federal health Minister is, we need *everyone* to let them know what you think.

I am hearing credible rumblings that Dr. Henry is currently in France for four months, learning French in order to finally qualify to fail upwards and replace Dr. Tam as Canada's CMOH. One of the few people in the world to have botched two different SARS-CoV outbreaks (plus the Seven Oaks thing).

🤦‍♂️
On March 11, 2020, when much of the world was screaming for things to be locked down, Dr. Henry, herself no stranger to pandemics, told the country and the world that "we have very low risk."

Time was lost, and because of this so were lives.

There's never been an accounting of these failures.
