Blimey. UK Masterchef is no more. I am surprised that John Torode used racist language. He always seemed a nice guy. So BBC don’t do any more Masterchef badged shows for a couple of years and rethink it. The BBC could learn a lot from Masterchef Australia.

I see Dave Cousins, a founder member of The Strawbs has died. I went to a gig of theirs in the early ‘70s. Rick Wakeman was the keyboard player then! They had a great album, that I loved, ‘From the Witchwood’.

I’m impressed! I sent an application to renew my passport late Monday afternoon using the secure post option. It was acknowledged before noon the next day. On Thursday the replacement passport was despatched. I received it mid-morning, today, Friday.

I hope this is picked up soon and that appropriate actions are taken to prevent avoidable nastiness happening.
With all the travel bans being imposed by the regime it’s likely these will be non-events.

With a fire at a sub-station putting Heathrow out of action I wonder what other key infrastructure is vulnerable to Single Points of Failure? These are ideal targets for sabotage for those wanting to disrupt the UK. I hope the UK and the rest of Europe will ensure these are properly protected.
