Probably. My crowd is just plain nuts. No really progressive thinking at all. Except for the sister who died a few years back. The rest aren't worth talking to. My Irish cousins are a little better. I don't know how open Mom's mind was, but my dad? Archie Bunker had nothing on him at his worst.

Amazing, isn't it? And it can't all be on the way you were raised, or how your own parents are, because my people were not, and never became better people. My mom didn't live long enough, but maybe she would have. She never said a hateful word in her life. I never wanted to be them.

I have fields behind me, and regrowing woods behind that. But the ants are a pest. I just refuse to use pesticides on the place.

Funny you mention that. I've seen two in the last week after them disappearing over a year ago, I assumed because of the fire ants. Don't know if the hunters have driven them back to me for safety or what, but am happy to see them anyway.

Hey, I saw one the other night for the first time in a long time......and the groundhogs were very visible this fall, quite unusual. I mostly see them in spring. Maybe the hunters all over the place.......hope the kids are good. Dora is starting to walk a little better.
