It's so funny this story spawned hundreds of suggestions of different buildings which would make more suitable (and more splendid) accommodation for the Prime Minister and his staff
But most of the arguments against it are because we hate ourselves and think the PM should live in a broom cupboard

As a kid, we were taught that Remembrance was a sombre, solemn occasion. The way to show respect was to wear a small poppy, do the silence, lay a wreath and practice dignified reflection.

I wasn't at school that long ago. I remember seeing the last survivors of WWI in the news. And I recall meeting some WWII veterans for an A-Level history trip.
We were always taught that the theme of Remembrance Day was "lest we forget" the horrors of war, not glorifying it.
