This Christmas, I’m thinking about every caregiver and every worker who keeps our communities going. Your love, labor, and sacrifice don’t take a holiday, and I’m so grateful for you. Wishing you peace, joy, and time to recharge with family and friends.

Black workers are 18.6% of the federal workforce compared to 12.8% of the overall U.S. workforce.

This shutdown means Black and brown families lose paychecks and healthcare.
Black and brown income is not dispensable.

Republican Medicaid cuts target Black families. Nearly 60% of Black children rely on Medicaid and cutting it risks higher maternal deaths, infant mortality, and fewer supports in schools. #HandsOffMedicaid
The infant mortality rate for Black babies is more than two times higher than the rate for white babies. Cutting Medicaid, which covers 65% of births to Black pregnant people, is unconscionable. We must stop these attacks. #HandsOffMedicaid
