Hamas could have surrendered months ago and the war would have been over. Unfortunately, however, most pro-Palestinian activists have put the survival and permanence of Hamas's power in Gaza ahead of the well-being of the civilian population.

Gaza is controlled by Hamas, and like in every region controlled by oppressive governments, gangs, or militias, criticism is not tolerated, and there is no freedom of the press.

Your comparison is nonsensical. The Israeli army is not a Palestinian police force meant to protect the citizens of Gaza, nor is Hamas a bank robber. Furthermore, bank robbers do not receive support from foreign governments and activists like Hamas does.

I have seen thousands of posts from pro-Palestinian profiles. I have not found any of these profiles warning about the criminal nature of Hamas’s actions, how they put the lives of Palestinians in Gaza at risk, and how such actions demonstrate a total lack of consideration for the Palestinians.

Despite the problems, before the Hamas attack that started the war, tens of thousands of Palestinians worked in Israel, while in Gaza, the only Israelis present there were Hamas prisoners.
