Just finished my replay of Firewatch. In terms of "short narrative-led experiences," this is one of the best of all-time. What a video game.

I bought Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Adjusting to Shadows after playing Ghost of Tsushima wasn't easy, but I'm finally starting to find my rhythm. So far, it's been very enjoyable and beautiful to look at. But, the combat mechanics aren't at the quality I hoped for. Still fun.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition was one of my most anticipated games of 2025.
So far, I'm nothing short of... disappointed. It's still wholly disorganized, obtuse, oddly balanced, and runs like crap — a far cry from "definitive." Tons of QoL opportunities were missed.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition was one of my most anticipated games of 2025.

I bought the 4k Blu-ray of 2001: A Space Odyssey and watched it for the very first time.
