For anyone who missed it, Grok—X’s fact checking AI tool, which users increasingly summon as if it’s some sort of omniscient arbiter, all-wise research assistant, or a relatively neutral source à la Wikipedia—just embraced rank antisemitism.

“And that surname? Every damn time,” it said.

Hard to think of a clearer forecast of the rule of law under a new regime when the outgoing President feels a need to pardon the innocent and the brave.
BREAKING: President Biden just pardoned:

* General Mark Milley
* Dr. Anthony Fauci
* Jan. 6 Committee members of Congress and staffers
* The police officers who testified before the Jan. 6 Committee

Biden says these pardons are not an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

There’s essentially no one on earth with more independence to stand by basic moral values than billionaire tech barons. They have more wealth than they could ever spend, no voters or constituency. They could say “my values are all-important and immovable.” And instead they blow in the wind.

When the Justice minister who once overlooked the execution of women in public squares, assumes 90% of Syrians want Sharia law, its alarming.

Syrian Muslim communities do not resemble this man and his extremist ideology must have no place in Syria's justice system.

Its really that simple.

I am not yet sure of the narrative that TR is the "winner" of the developments in Syria. It is too early to tell. Much depends on the dynamics among local actors (particularly the HTS and SDF), the dynamics between HTS and Ankara, and their social&political implications for internal politics in TR.

Assad is not only a very evil dictator, but also a very incompetent one.

Less than two weeks ago, no regional or global power wanted him to go. But the Syrian regime is so utterly disastrous in every conceivable way that it collapses like a house of cards at the slightest gust of wind.
