Our democracy is under threat like never before. Many don't know this. Get the word out. Tell people that the benefits and programs they rely on are under attack. It's time to call your representatives. It's time to resist.

“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”

I'm writing short stories for the first time in a long while. Fiction is a wild adventure, an electrifying challenge, an exploration of dark corners and dizzying heights. I recently submitted a story to a dream publication. There's virtually no chance they'll take it, but it's fun to try.

I know it's a busy holiday season, but let's keep making art. Keep writing, painting, drawing, sculpting, weaving, playing guitar, or whatever you do to create. Making art is how we'll survive 2025 and beyond.

I miss her.
“Don’t ever let anybody or any circumstance take your power from you.”

Thank you, Vice President Harris. I am forever grateful for you sharing your heart and strength with us.

#StillWithHer has a double meaning for me now.

Difficult day. If anyone has good news to share, I'd surely like to hear about it.

I'm working on a short story that may become a novel. We who create must tell stories in order to survive. I would be lost without my writing days.

Met my writing goal today and hammered out 1,000 words. After a long fallow period, this is exciting and a huge relief. It's now more important than ever to create.

I suddenly, unexpectedly have ideas for fiction. I dare to think one will result in a novel. So grateful for any creative inspiration in a dark time.

Did not sleep well last night. Gee, I wonder why. It's not like the world is falling apart or anything.
