Loved the novel Vineland (Thomas Pynchon, 1990 or so). "One Battle After Another" is inspired by it, but you absolutely do not need to have read the novel to enjoy

Imho, it's v. v. v. good indeed. Funny, clever, gripping, etc. Doesn't feel like 2hr 40mins...

For £1 I bought a collection of 1930/31 radio broadcasts by Harold Nicholson (interesting chap). I'm read and microblogging abt each on its anniversary. Because I am OtD. Sorry, OCD.

The first is abt him going to Oxford to collect 2 degrees.
