It's funny, because every time I get the opportunity to write a novella for work, I'm like, "Okay, this time I'm going to try writing something in a different genre. It's gonna be a great!" and then I just end up writing something with horror elements anyways. Can't help what you love, I guess.

And sorry if this sounds a little heated, but I really, /really/ hate when people are so quick to bury their heads in the sand and dismiss valid criticism. It makes me wonder if we're even playing the same game, or if people are so stuck in their bubbles that they're oblivious to general sentiment.

I'm not just going to sit here and let all of the many valid criticisms people have had about my favorite game get brushed under the rug by using harassment as a shield. That's not right. If you have /any/ love for this game, you should /know/ that's not right. Shame on you.

(Of course, it bears mentioning that they did address that last point in the most recent live letter, so absolutely props to them for that.)

And that's without mentioning /other/ concerns people have had about the direction of the story, such as DT not laying much groundwork for the future.

Savage 100% should unlock earlier--as soon as the alliance raid drops, not mere weeks before the next tier comes out. Big casual-friendly pieces of content like Beastmaster shouldn't be hyped up at Fanfest and take almost three years to come out. Raids shouldn't release over the holidays.

Or that Quantum is neat but largely inaccessible and gives you zero incentive to do it more than a single time. Much of the criticism XIV has received lately has been less about the story and more about the rewards and the content--especially as pertains to the timing of certain things.

The Arcadion has been great. The XI raids have been solid. Pilgrim's Traverse is a hit. But let's not act like Occult Crescent wasn't largely viewed as a downgrade from Eureka/Bozja. Let's not ignore the fact that Cosmic Exploration is as dead as a doornail.

It is finished.

sweeter and mellower at the same time than Baja Blast, if this wasn't bright blue I could believe it was just a normal key lime pie. it's GOOD. the surface looks a little bit like the moon, but the texture is spot on

editing the recipe video atm

I know the older you get the more tired everything seems, but my early years really did genuinely feel like a period where new ground was constantly being broken and publishers weren't as averse to taking a chance on bold, unproven ideas. I'll always look back fondly on those days.

And that's just the beginning. Once it takes root in your mind, you're stuck thinking, discussing, and shitposting about Umineko forever.
