Love Star Wars, Doctor Who, Star Trek, the MCU and loads more. Proud father of a gorgeous boy and also a proud dog dad. Everyone should feel safe to be who they are.
The perfect ending to a perfect series. TV highlight of the year #CelebrityTraitors

You’re telling me Adam Driver wanted to make a Ben Solo movie that he was passionate about…And Disney SAID NO! What?!!! I despair how this franchise has been handled. The cancellation of The Acolyte killed a lot of my enthusiasm, but this is just bonkers. The STATE of Star Wars!

I thought Superman was good, not great. Loved a lot about it but I wish it gave some of its ideas more time to breathe. But cast, in particular, was fantastic. Not as good as Gunn’s work on GOTG, but still a fun time.

Oh man, Heretic was so good. Suitably nasty horror but the theological stuff is right up my street. One of Grant’s best performances.

Bought Jurassic World Dominion because I never got around to seeing it. It should be an easy win for me - dinosaurs, original cast - but I gave up after an hour. It’s like a bad action movie with dinosaurs. What’s the point?

Such a good read. Darren always has such great insights, and makes me think through things I might otherwise just write off.
I wrote a little bit about the Fifteenth Doctor’s era at @secondwindgroup.com.

How Russell T. Davies constructed a vision of #DoctorWho about children lost and found, and searching for the children who have been left behind.

I have many many emotions. Sheer shock being one of them. And sadness… and what happens next? Also War Between Land and Sea looks amazing. #DoctorWho

Carla turning on Ruby so frequently is the new version of Rory dying every other episode.
Laughed at Ruby's mum for the third time turning on her daughter because of timey wimey shenanigans.

Need time to think it over but as pure vibes, I loved that episode of #DoctorWho! Flying through space on a confetti cannon is so 15th Doctor, but loving the other sides of him as well…

I sobbed at the end of #Andor - just such an extraordinary show. I can’t quite believe it exists, a piece of my favourite franchise that is just so perfectly realised. I hope it inspires Lucasfilm to continue to be daring and take risks on creators. Tony Gilroy is a hero.

Brutal, powerful, topical, and perhaps even necessary, this latest arc of Andor was extraordinary. To rank it against other Star Wars seems a disservice…this is up there with some of the best TV I’ve ever seen. Incredible.

Having had a chance to finally play #StarWarsOulaws, I don’t really get the hate. It’s the most living, breathing Star Wars game I’ve played. Feels like tourism in the galaxy far, far away. Shame it wasn’t better received.

Today’s episode of #DoctorWho is my favourite of the series and one of my favourites of this era. It’s so rightly angry, but it’s also just good drama. And great to see Ruby Sunday back as well.

I had very high expectations for Andor season 2, and somehow I’m still blown away by the first chapter. Andor is a miracle.

On second watch, Mr Ring-A-Ding might be my favourite 15th Doctor villain so far. Loving this season of #DoctorWho so far.

I’m super excited for Andor Season 2 and I’m sure it’s gonna be amazing but there are two things I need from Star Wars soon. First, #RenewTheAcolyte, and secondly, let’s get going on that Rey movie. Rey deserves all the love.

The Abyss in 4K is beautiful! Still such a stunning movie and all the more in crisp UHD.

Watching through Buffy and Angel for the first time and just watched Once More With Feeling. No point me ever watching any more TV, that was peak. Nothing topping that!

Got to say, best Doctor Who trailer in some time.

Watching Buffy for the first time and it’s soo good and I can’t even be like ‘you’ve got to watch this’ because it finished over two decades ago 😂 But boy it’s nice having loads of great television to watch for the foreseeable (rather than 8 episodes of a great show and then a 2 year wait!)

Kind of wild that a lot of powerful Americans claim Christianity as their own and yet their worldview is probably closer to Nietzsche’s critique of Jesus than of the teachings of Christ himself.

So sad to hear about David Lynch. One of the great filmmakers, his artistic sensibilities truly unique and unparalleled.

What excellent telly today. Dr Who, Wallace and Gromit, Gavin and Stacey. So much good writing. So many great characters. All deeply idiosyncratic. And how good that they sort of belong to us and we all watched them together.

Loved Doctor Who (Moffat is the GOAT) but with strong competition, Gavin and Stacey stole Christmas evening for me. Just adored it, a beautiful way to end and I think one of the great comedies of my lifetime.
