I remember when social media changed selling.
The sale suddenly started before you met them.

AI has changed sales again.
Folks filter faster now.
Because there's too much AI slop coming at folks

So your first sentence is now the workhorse of your sales engagement.

High-trust consultants mistakenly BELIEVE they have a "branding" issue, when really it's just COMMUNICATION skill.

This is fixable.
Words are free.

Like a combination lock, it's about the right ones in the right order. So really....this is about your business strategy.

When YOU can describe your prospect’s problem better than THEY can...
You instantly earn the right to solve it.
Name their pain.
THAT is when trust is built.
November 6, 2025 at 1:16 PM
The moment someone asks, “So what do you do?”…most folks start rambling.
Because their intro is built for accuracy, not trust.

Usually. it’s either too long (they explain), or too vague (buzzwords).
.
But if a prospect doesn’t understand you, they’ll never believe you.

Building a business doesn't just happen.
It takes work.

In the trenches, that means:
- Every business interaction should have an objective.
- Every engagement should have a structure.

You must go into situations knowing your outcome.

Want to sell more?
Fix what you say and how you say it, so more right-fit clients say yes.

And stop with all the BS sales tactics.
November 5, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Most sales aren't lost at the closing table.
They're lost in the first 10 seconds of meeting a prospect.
.
So if you run a small business....review your messaging.
Yes you can use AI to craft it.
But then you need to IRL it.
.
Don't be lazy.
Your revenue rides on this.

Business relationships are now built DIGITALLY.
Most large companies STILL aren't doing this.

Most consultants lose the sale in the first 10 seconds of the conversation. The problem is 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙂𝙖𝙥.

On 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮 @ 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗘𝗧, I’m hosting a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟯𝟬-𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺. We'll review how the first 10 seconds of pitch should build trust. Join us!

In an AI world, your moat is your strategy
June 20, 2025 at 12:02 PM
For consultants:

“Price” is the conversation people have…. absent of value.

Price is what they pay. Value is what they get.

Paraphrasing Warren.

But start thinking how you can apply this to the VALUE your consulting customers are getting…

Your biggest business threat isn’t the competition.

It’s being the mediocre version of you.

Great personal branding is not self promotion.

It is idea promotion.

You can rent the "math" skills from any LLM now.
But the EQ skills of connecting and building a lifelong relationship?

That cannot be AI'd.
Ever.
January 28, 2025 at 1:40 AM
There are founders who create content.
And then there are "creators."

The first are business minds.
The second are not.

The big AI mistake?
Tying to automate the relationship...
January 15, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Here are 4 trends that will shape personal brand-building in 2025:

1️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜-𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿
2️⃣ 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀
3️⃣ 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀
4️⃣ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲

Thoughts?.....

AI can get you in the room faster.
But once you’re there, closing the deal depends on YOU.
That means you must develop the ability to:
✔️ Build trust in minutes
✔️ Read your prospect’s emotional cues
✔️ Craft a personalized solution that resonates
AI doesn’t drive repeat business.
Relationships do.

Cash???
December 10, 2024 at 7:17 PM
When selling to your prospect, remember the balance:
ROI vs. COI

They are weighing their return on investment....
against their cost of inaction.

So this becomes YOUR job.

The more visceral you can make EACH of those, the better your chance of helping them seeing the true value you offer.
