Some friends coerced me into playing Fragpunk and holy shit it’s got the worst UI ever crafted by man. Imagine every gacha game main menu screen crammed into 100 little tabs. It also has like 20 different premium currencies and like 5 limited time events going on at a time. I can’t believe it’s real

Playing Dustborn seemed like a miserable experience but you guys realizing that the evil force in that one town was actually misinformation was some of the hardest I’ve laughed at a twitch stream

Finished Eureka 7 a few weeks ago and it’s a miracle show. Sad to think that it’s one of the last shows of its kind and the current industry can’t make projects of that scale anymore.

There's something more general here I can't quite put my finger on that feels gross, an increasing prioritization of "vibes" over storytelling that feeds into the AI hype. Storytelling is complex, emotional, human, hard to fake. But vibes? You can generate some pixels to fake that.

It’s not even redeemed by its “hype moments” either it’s got god awful character designs and some of the boring and uninspired action choreo i’ve ever seen. I am totally baffled by its popularity, have things really got this bad?

Dude the writing is so fucking awful, every episode in S1 is basically just a copy paste script of a psychopath trying to kill the mc for no reason. And S2 is just doing a really really bad HxH riff
