Nioh 3 is a Day 1 buy for me anyway, but to hear @fightincowboy.com talk about the current state and the changes since the Alpha makes the waiting time insanely hard. It looks so damn good.

Nioh 3 is a Day 1 buy for me anyway, but to hear @fightincowboy.com talk about the current state and the changes since the Alpha makes the waiting time insanely hard. It looks so damn good.

Falcom embracing the "3rd is filler" meme was not on my bingo card.
Played some nice rounds of Castles of Burgundy today! You just throw 2 dice but have multiple different actions what to do and how to plan your kingdom. Absolutely amazing game, very fast once you understand it - an all time classic.

Finished Age of Imprisonment and while it was overall a good game the ending was absolutely sick! Amazing final fights, beautiful ending - even made me a bit teary eyed.
Looking forward to the next Zelda chapter, but I loved the BotW > TotK era a lot!

Not a big suprise but they put in Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 over Trails in the Sky for RPG...

Omega Force should copy their own mechanics from Age of Imprisonment to the next Dynasty Warriors. I like the overall map situation - I REALLY like the fast switching of characters in a map, that is super nice.
They just need to find a better weapon upgrade system.

As much as I enjoyed Ys X, if there is no upgrade path available I cannot justify double dipping there. Maybe someday later when it is cheaper.

Damn, almost 30 years ago I had my first video game crush on Nabooru and now they give me Ardi. Some things never change. I am still weak for Gerudo designs.

Even if it is "only" Sky 2nd and Proud Nordics next year, this information sky rockets the chances of Falcom releases being WW and multi platform in the future.

Age of Imprisonment really is a great musou title. The gameplay is fast and fun and characters feel pretty unique!
The only complaints so far I have is that the weapon upgrade system is kinda clunky/tedious and the level design is rather generic. Something DW normally does better.

Gloomhaven is such an insane game. Yesterday my wife retired her first character, now got the "two mini/phoenix" one and that feeling of seeing a completely new character is so cool. And you can just keep on playing cause the difficulty curve and leveling system is so well done.

As a RTwP hater I will gladly play PoE1 turn based once more! It is a phenomenal game, PoE2s turn based system was great and the PoE world and lore overall is just absolutely phenomenal.

Sure, PC performance being abysmal is a huge problem but it is also a design issue. MH fans are so trained for "the real endgame is in the DLC" and that also reflected way too much in the end game, which is only decent now.
Monster Hunter Wilds sold 10m copies at launch, but has since struggled, with just 160k copies sold during Q2. Older Capcom titles (Rise, DMC5) outsold it during this period.
Modern publishers rely heavily on strong back-cat sales, not just launch sales.

Just like all recent Pokemon games the mix of: How are they allowed to sell this? Mixed with: But it is super much fun still! is a balancing act no other franchise manages.

Sometimes I think about Dondoko Island and how it was one of the craziest side content/mini games ever created.
I am really looking forward to the next Yakuza.

Pokemon games need to look better and they absolutely need voice acting with how much money they make

Wrote down my thoughts about Yotei. While I think Atsu is an absolute wonderful lead I had a lot of issues with the game and just did not enjoy it as much as I wished I could

I am still so impressed with Gloomhaven. Every scenario feels so well done. It is always close, it (almost) never feels unfair and it is always fun to play. The leveling system is so good. Cannot wait to unlock more classes.
