I'm really glad to see someone like Kelly finally saying this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."

I’m absolutely begging reporters to stop suggesting that Lisa Cook stated that she would use both properties as a principal residence on her mortgage APPLICATIONS

Mortgage APPLICATIONS and mortgage AGREEMENTS are not the same thing

We have no idea what she represented on the APPLICATIONS

I read Roots when I was 11-12. I also watched the miniseries (I'm that old) but the book stuck with me. Some parts of it were brutal but the thing that emotionally moved me as a white tween was the idea of being a person and then having someone make you a non-person. Suddenly losing personhood.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it frighteningly surreal that the terrible atrocities, injustices and war crimes of faraway lands that we studied in history books when we were kids are now being committed, promoted and even celebrated by our own U.S. government, on a daily basis?

When I read these words I thought they were referring to 🍊 Felon till I read the year it was actually written. So there is no difference except in name between the person she was writing about and the 🍊Felon.

the problem with living in a super diverse neighbourhood is that regularly there are food smells that waft in my windows that make me want to go door to door and say "are you cooking? can I have some? can I have the recipe?"

utterly amazing curry scent wafting in right now and I want to die

Grateful to @georgetakei.bsky.social for amplifying my video about the absurd book bans in Tennessee. Also grateful to
@penamerica.bsky.social for fighting the good fight to defend authors like George.
Journalist Katie Phang shared a powerful video about the rising tide of book bans—including the banning of They Called Us Enemy in Tennessee. I’m honored she included my story in this important conversation. We cannot let these book bans stop us from telling our stories and histories.

WAKE UP people.
The President—who uses antisemitic slurs—is building concentration camps and an enormous secret police force.

Ya know, maybe this is just because I’m Jewish, but I wish the political opposition and the media made a bigger deal about it!

There are actually quite a few undocumented Russians in the US.

Anyone have any videos of ICE forcefully deporting them?

Or just the brown people?
