yesterday i made the mistake of telling my 5yo i was thinking of cutting my hair short and she flipped out. and today this morning while i was getting ready she burst into the bathroom to tell me my hair is beautiful and not to cut my hair. this feels like a lot of pressure :/

i think the biggest change in my sensibilities as a reader now vs when i was a kid is tolerance for lengthy denouement. back then i would feel cheated if it was too short. nowadays if it’s more than a couple pages im like oh my gaaawd who gives a shit just end

my 4yo son yells something to me from across the playground. i cant understand what he’s saying. he repeats it over and over, shouting at the top of his lungs, but i still cant understand. i wave him to come closer. he sprints across the playground and gets right in my face “do anteaters eat ants?”

When I had to do one of these seminars they were literally like, "In our area, there are nursing jobs and warehouse jobs! If you have a nursing degree, you can be a nurse!" An unemployed lawyer raised her hand to ask about her situation, and they advised she look into the warehouse jobs.
i did the first "seminar" virtually and it's garbage. it's genuinely insulting. literally a 20 minute powerpoint with comic sans in it telling you "it's a good idea to look for jobs in your skill set"
