I don’t buy anything from F4F anymore, but I think it’s neat that the Figuya x Konsolenkost store in Braunschweig (Schlossarkaden where the bankrupted GameStop Europe used to be) lets you look at this statue up close. #TLoZ

I finally caught it long enough to get a good view for pictures, and it turns out my blue tit is a great tit! I ended up putting the bigger seed nets down on the balustrade, so now it can land on the plant pot instead… that has been accepted 😅 #birds

I am currently inspecting this on basis of attempts of people classifying the geese in Nils Holgersson (anime produced for German speaking kids in 1981):
Akka (leader with white tuft on top) is said to be a Canada goose, Dunfuin (on the right) is said to be a Grey. Not sure about all the others. 🤷
Four of the geese of the anime series Nils Holgersson are sternly teasing the domesticated white goose Morton (offscreen) living on Nils’ family’s little farm. To the left are two of the guys of the flock, I believe Gunnar and Lasse, with beige body plumage but dark necks. The third from the left is the leader with the white tuft and darker wings, Captain Akka, an experienced female. All the way on the right is Dunfuin, a young female donning only beige and light beige shades. Sometimes, she is depicted more light grey in cover pictures. She is the only one to not speak here initially as she finds Morton cute and does not want to bully him. Eventually, Morton will try to fly with the flock of wild geese and carry the boy Nils, who has been hexed and shrunk to tiny size by a gnome as punishment for bullying smaller beings, accidentally with him.

The ducks went to spread the leftovers far and wide and then scattered around so they didn’t have to put up with the geese who, if you ask me, have very clearly inherited some velociraptor energy. #photography
One of the geese walks along an asphalt path in front or the pond as it stretches its neck all the way to appear as tall as possible. It seems to stare over at us event though the beak is pointing to the left. In the background, some of the ducks are foraging in the grass leading to the pond. The sun is illuminating the other side of the vegetation in the left upper corner, giving the picture’s sides a high contrast. The goose has turned and is leaning over towards some leftover crushed corn on the ground. It seems to say "this is mine and if you come closer, I will fight you". The ducks have all turned their butts on us, probably not wanting to deal with the much larger goose.

There were these two geese as well, I think Canada geese. They were only chill until one of the ducks signaled that it had found some crushed seeds and corn someone left at a bench nearby and then they all went haywire, haha. Such a fleeting tranquil moment.

Not sure yet if I’m gonna wear a Yukata at Connichi Matsuri again this weekend (what is this weather forecast? Warm, cold, neither??) — but if I do, I sure will not accept the slipperiness of my tabi socks any longer. Yes, this is a lot of sock-stop right there 😂
A pair of dark blue socks with separate big toes folded down on the edge of my light box drawing table, their soles facing upwards. There are light blue lines of liquid rubber drawn horizontally across each sole and a bottle in the corner of the photo reads "Sock Stop". Once the rubber has dried, the soles will have a natural grip effect and stop slipping around in sandals with smooth surfaces, like geta or straw tabi shoes. Sock Stop requires about 10 hours to dry.

Haaah, Scarlet/Violet stop spawning Shiny Pokemon inside of cliff walls: challenge impossible.
So glad my lead Pokemon pointed out to me that I hadn’t quite exhausted that Flareon Outbreak yet (even though it had just dispersed). The second last Flareon, hiding inside the cliff, was the only Shiny.

I said we don’t need the lamp because I made my own version! The sewing machine lightbulb is a bit small for my vase, but it’s more Homer-shaped 😤

New favorite flower to watch smaller #bumblebees stick their head in:
Salvia
A carder bee sits on the lower petal of the violet bloom of a flowering salvia stalk. The lower petals become very large, but overall the blooms are not big enough to carry large bees. Carder bees are just small enough. The carder bee sticks its head all the way into the salvia flower so that only the body is visible. The top petal of the flowers seem to make a bee’s head stick like a curious pet in a household water bucket.

My bellflower seems to be sick at the moment, I’m trying to nurse it back to health but I’ve had to quarantine it. Luckily for the pollinators, someone seems to have accidentally spread a bigger type of bellflower along a path near the woods, so the hoverflies all go check on those.

Easy to mistake for an Earth #Bumblebee, this is actually a Garden Bumblebee with a second and third yellow stripe that separate because one is on the thorax and the other an abdomen segment. I usually only see the other kind around here. #bugsky #invertebrates
