Last week I got to speak about #seaweed #aquaculture to the QUB engineers and members of the public during NI Science Week. Always fun to speak to a new audience!

Found some good examples of Fucus serratus #seaweeds being epiphytic on Ascophyllum today while on field work in Strangford Lough. Holdfast attachment looks promising for rope cultivated Fucus in #aquaculture ?!

Today I gave a guest seminar at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) on some #Fucus #seaweed #aquaculture research from the @qubelfastofficial.bsky.social QML/SMAE SeaFEED project. So many interesting questions and ideas for further research. Funded by @wwf.org.uk @daera-ni.gov.uk
