The Government coming off X is the bare minimum and realistically at this point I think we should seriously be looking at taking enforcement action against the company, in line with the Online Safety Act and VAWG Strategy. I will be pressing the Government on this when Parliament returns next week.

It seems to be the British way to underfund the resources needed to be proactive in order to save money in the short term only to have to spend much much more further down the line to clear up the mess.

A negotiated UK specific customs union is a fantasy that will just mean years of UK/EU chat that will lead to little or nothing. We need to join 'The' EU customs union and accept that it will require free movement of people. To then follow this with a plan to fully rejoin is a no brainer.

It's starting to dawn on him that the closer he gets to the election the more unavoidable scrutiny he is going to face. He doesn't have a strong and calm defence style in his natural repertoire.

I think it's case in point that any AI system is only as accurate as the political/world view of its owner. We really need to be very sure about any AI systems that are integrated into anything of any importance in the years ahead. If we get to the 'Told you so' stage it will be too late.

Starmer is completely governed by whichever way the political winds superficially appear most advantageous. He seems incapable or afraid of deciding on a positive Labour like course of action and simply implementing it. He has the votes to do great things if he could summon up the drive and courage.

Can't imagine why people simply don't trust or respect any politicians these days. People have always said they are all the same but over recent years it is a generalization that has become hard to disagree with.

Why would the EU want or need to negotiate a bespoke deal with us. We are not special and we need them more than they need us. We gave away our enhanced status and as such we have to rejoin under the terms required for others. We need to just get on with it and politicians need to accept that.
