Beautiful walk in the early sun. Loads of wildlife: 2 roe deer and a further 4 later on, a couple of pheasant, yellowhammers, a buzzard and a kestrel.
Tawny owl visited the nest box again yesterday too, dropping off its breakfast at 0630, picking it up again at 1730

Also saw a seal close to shore, tucking into, I think, a large eel. It took it over 20mins to eat its Sunday sushi buffet. Wonderful to see

Lovely, relaxing long weekend exploring a bit of S Devon. Bear had an absolute blast and turns out to be a strong swimmer (he's always ignored fresh water and mostly run around enthusiastically at the sea's edge 'till now)

#NotAnOwl update: #ItsAnOwl! Having this year hosted a family of squirrels and three broods of pigeons 🙄, finally a second visit from a #TawnyOwl
Intriguingly, like last time, it deposited its freshly caught prey in the nest box around 5am, left it there and came back for it at 9pm

First time I've been able to grab a pic of this butterfly I've seen occasionally in a meadow on my morning walk for the last couple of months. It might be small and called a common blue, but it's rather striking 🦋

Had to get the mower out for the first time in 2 months yesterday, not for the grass, but to collect the fallen leaves from the copper beech...which I'd normally be doing in November 😳
