But I’m only one person. I just hope liberals, leftists & minorities keep arming themselves at historic rates like they are rn under Trump. We need to encourage them to do so safely & keep building connections, skills, mutual aid so by 2028 if the doomsday scenario comes we can organize a defense.

Yeah the other 1% can be a big issue but raising living standards, free healthcare + mental health, building less depressing infrastructure, better work/life balance, higher wages, housing would each go a thousand times further solving violence than just banning and/or heavily restricting guns.

The military relies on domestic stability, morale, infrastructure & logistics to last even a few days. Even if we ignore all the gaping holes in that logic and just pretend defending ourselves/communities from the regime is futile it would still be deeply pathetic & defeatist behavior.

Idk about the reporting thing but yes lol if you’re caught with a machine gun that wasn’t grandfathered in before 1986 that’s 10 years federal prison. Same thing with altering a semi-automatic to try to make it fire automatic.

Which you could still get under the ban BTW because it wasn’t even a real ban. It just regulated cosmetic features like pistol grips, flash hiders, barrel shrouds. You could still get identically capable semi-automatic rifles that can shoot the exact same caliber equally as fast.

So when pro-ban types point out there was a 37% decrease in mass shootings they’re never able to prove causation. They just say that without context because they don’t really understand the reality of gun stats and think all mass shootings are with AR15’s.

Actually the reason it wasn’t continued was because the DOJ report to Congress showed the impacts were “too small to measure.” Which makes sense since these rifles are less than 1% of gun homicides and 18% of mass shootings. You’re talking about literally double digit events, 13 & 32.

Yeah it is bizzare idk how they’re gonna charge him with any of that. It would have to be intentional stuff but I don’t think any international laws have to do with drugs, especially considering the ones we broke to get him here.
