Our group refound the East Yorkshire White-throated Needletail at Bempton Cliffs this afternoon. Unbelievable moment when it shot through as we were watching a Barn Owl! Raced down to cliffs to relocate and initially no sign, but it then reappeared and we had it flying over our heads 🤯🤯

We started our long wend up to Shetland yday with a slight detour to Suffolk to take in the absolutely stunning male Turkestan Shrike at Dunwich - the best example of any "Issy" Shrike I've seen in the UK, watched intently pursuing a number of six-legged prey items in the blustery wind

A quick strike, some hammering, and dinner is ready. This kingfisher knows how to prep a meal. believe this is a female as it had the red/orange patch on the lower side of the bill. R5 500mm F4
