I got to see him a few years ago at a Buddy Holly celebration in Lubbock, Texas. He had trouble walking up to the stage, and his singing voice was a bit shaky (ok, a whole lot shaky), but his guitar playing was still pure Steve Cropper. The MGs are my dream backing band.
