When I started my wildly-short-post-work-hike it seemed like an investment in self-care & mindfulness…
..:but it I’ve once again over-estimated my mental & physical capability & though
I’m a mere 700m from my vehicle:..the urge to surrender to the wilderness & contact search & rescue is strong 😅

It’s her time. We go as (painfully for me) slow as she likes. I have the opportunity to focus and engage my senses on her rest stops in the shade (important).
