Last night was our annual Our Faith Our Planet conference. Speakers shared perspectives from different faiths, read poems, gave updates on eco projects happening across Greater Manchester and delegates even had the opportunity to participate in a quiz!

On Nov 10th, we are launching a special appeal for our bells. The sound of church bells is very special and we will be sharing some stories and memories people have of the cathedral bells over the next few months

This morning, Solomon John, an ordinand on placement with us, preached his first sermon at the cathedral at the 9am service

A busy morning at the Cathedral!

We are grateful to Mr Rob Knight and to Canon Jo Calladine, chaplain, from HMP Manchester for joining us. Canon Jo talked about giving thanks, a theme addressed in Sunday School. And then, an engaging Bible study as the group continued to explore the book of Job

We will be joined by The Revd. Canon Jo Calladine, a chaplain at HMP Manchester, who will be preaching at our main 10.30am Eucharist service. The Governor of HMP Manchester, Rob Knight, will also be speaking. All are welcome

I am shocked and saddened by the news of an attack on one of our local synagogues not far from Manchester Cathedral. Violence of any sort must be condemned in the strongest terms.

A quarter-peal is a performance of change ringing taking 50 mins on our bells and consisting of around 1,250 unique changes

Sunday lunchtime bible study series - September and October

Join Canon Grace for a bible study series where we will explore the book of Job. Each session will start after the main Sunday service and will be held in the Cathedral Library
