ugh! I'm on ep 3, moving faster in hopes of getting past it. This is everything that would make me not a who fan if it wasn't for all the other stuff I love so much. simpering woman who can't intellectually grasp anything, that annoying dalek voice, war war war. ugh.

Dalek's Master Plan is one story where I maybe haven't even seen the episodes that are still intact. I'm not a huge Dalek fan. So it might take me a month to get through this one

Update: I discovered I still get chills at learning the Monk has a TARDIS (even though I know that already)

I'm not squeamish about using words we usually only use for humans, but I balk at "genocide" because its goal is the eradication of a group. We have more cows and pigs and chickens than ever. We're genociding wild animals in a way, but "farm" animals experience more of a murderous slavery, IMO

I was one of those who thought a UNIT spin-off would be good, picturing Kate and Osgood and Ace and Tegan. Now I have never been less excited about something Doctor Who related.

that's interesting. 12 and 13 are my favorite docs of this century, and I have watched almost all of their stories more than ten times each, but not these (I think the finale is great but it's also too painful and sad to watch, so that doesn't help.)

I wish I could! I don't think I've turned anyone vegan in the ten years I have been. Definitely have some people thinking more about their choices, but it's very hard to battle a whole industry with lobbyists and advertising budgets. still I think keeping the topic alive is important.

With all the whining about exposition (which is definitely there and often irritating). I sometimes think a lot of some folks' trouble with 13 is that it's too subtle or nuanced. How can anyone say that this is the Doctor "not caring" about Graham?
