I love science so freakin' much I decided to make it as my career.
Artemis by Andy Weir

I am excited to read this one because I am huge fan of The Martian both the movie and the book). I started reading this like a couple of days ago and then bam! finished.

It's a great book. I obviously have biases because "science nerd", but still great.

Lastly, I don't know how many times I said this already but

we will not spend years studying and focusing on these kinds of shit just to make shit of other people.

Honestly, I am more scared on how this information can cause hysteria to the masses more than the virus catalyzing a new pandemic. So pleeaaase instead of scaring the shit out of other people be informed, be prepared.

It's also not the fault of media outlets and other sci-com sites (although some of them definitely exaggerates the story; hence the reason why we need to be critical). Their job is also to inform not to scare people.

Also, studying viruses, like going to bat caves and look for viruses isn't a new thing.

...so that in an event that a pandemic such as the one induced by SARS-CoV-2 would not be "that" detrimental and we can, in fact, prepare stuff like vaccines and all of those countermeasures before it develops into pandemic. In short, scientists study to prevent shit from happening.

Yellowface by RF Kuang

This book feels like going on a rollercoaster but the ending feels like the rollercoaster stops but you are not sure whether you need to get up or wait if there's another turn.

Also made me realize that if glory is at stake, everyone is evil.

Also, I can't believe that I enjoyed Jade Dragon Mountain (the one I didn't intentionally buy) than Snow Crash (the one I genuinely want to buy and read)

Jade Dragon Mountain by Elsa Hart

I never read a mystery novel before, so I'm not sure what to expect in this book. I still enjoy reading it, although some of the characters and/or events lack vibes for me. Still not a bad random pick for me.
I give it 3.5 stars

Bookshops and Bonedust is the
prequel for Legends and Lattes (aka the one I started my year with). I admit that I still prefer the latter, maybe because some of the important pieces of this book is a bit underwhelming for me. Still, great book—cozy with a hint of adventure and spice
