The real answer to this is of course that I should learn Chinese? I'd like to. I've been dabbling, but I really really struggle with the sounds. Including tones, but they aren't the worst. I think my biggest curse is the whole x/ch/sh/j/t cluster, whew. These sounds are so distinct, but not to me.

I hope this next time getting back to 17 doesn't take almost 3 months. But I can probably do more than 15 lessons most days when I'm relearning, that will help. Until I drown myself in lessons haha oops.

Part of me is sad that I haven't worked harder over these 6 years, many people could be fluent by now. But it's been a tough 6 years for almost everyone! And I truly believed I was terrible at languages. I've done a lot of self-esteem healing since then. It's funny how confidence can help you learn.
