My mom just passed away, and one of the pieces she wants at her memorial and that I played as she was dying, is Hallalujah. And let me be clear, she knows how some will understand it, but back in the late 50s she dated "Lenny" and it's a beautiful inside joke for her.

I do something similar, but instead of lemon, put in whole cranberries and clementines and a splash of orange juice.

Or, as the Louvre taught us, fairly basic heists!

Now I'm back at her place and have picked out the clothes she wants to wear. Our friend David will cut and style her hair at 9am, and the whole thing will get underway around 10. Tracy and I are going in early, for maximum time with her. This hurts so much, but I'm happy she's going on her terms.

She declared it fabulous and told me to wear it for her on Friday. So I will wear sequins to my mom's deathbed. 💗
