He/Him/His. Physics & Math teacher out in Western Mass. You'll also likely be subject to me regularly bringing up social justice-related things, music, and probably the Celtics. Oh and bread.
1 000 g/m^3 works
or just saying 10^3 g/m^3

Between this and the Gatez stuff from the NY times today, it's like they're in a race to the bottom (they both won, we citizens trying to be informed lost)

Prostitute album was in my like top 5 last year. Prewn is local. And then some others.

Just know there are going to go be some kids who'd be much more enthused about something that doesn't have a robotics context and is more human-centric -- want to appear to *them*

Thanks Dan and @meganhg.bsky.social. I remember when Dan posted this activity (& looks great). I also like the health/human angle specifically. I know we see the PID/control theory underlying stuff as being the same but kids don't have that context (and just saying it to them doesn't hit the same)

Okay now help me find the time lol (but thanks)

Separately, I really should learn some control theory and the link

Is there anything out there with toy models for stuff like this that students can play with/create? Are there any organizations that are trying to develop stuff like this at the secondary level leveraging our easy access to computation (not the stochastic parrot stuff)

Wasn't a pushback, just a reaction / thinking out loud!

also why do (wealthy/powerful) individuals get the "job creator" status without also getting the "job destroyer" status?
November 13, 2025 at 12:17 AM
I'm pushing back on the whole "individual creates jobs" angle the begin with -- economic circumstances create jobs. Individuals can influence those circumstances but I don't know if I can get behind them *creating jobs*

not my area but i'm fine nitpicking language

🤷
