Anyway, now that I'm in Oakland I mostly go to the New Parkway, an awesome independent theater with immaculate vibes. Check it out if you're ever here.

If heartbreak doesn't feel good in a place like this, then what is the point?!

The only good thing about AMC is "Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place like this." Which was missing when I was there last year, but was restored when my friend and I went this week for Thunderbolts*. We cheered.

That's what elephantiasis looks like.

How quaint

Even funnier to say "I didn't feel much at the time" on the day there's a major newspaper story about your prodigious drug use

There are at least a few (I hope they realized their mistake and deleted) that are like "fuck Franklin, that's easy to do when you're dying," which is exactly what the podcaster said when he stated the blatant falsehoods.

Who claimed that? Also, you have replies who are now responding to that statement as though it's a fact and I am deeply depressed by this and all social media.

I don't think I would have enjoyed it solo, but my roommate had a party and it's such a blast in a group! My first time watching live.

I just saw the rest of you doing it and thought "there are a few I've never seen." I was wondering if it was a spontaneous thing or if there was some subliminal campaign manipulating us to do it collectively.

That's a fair choice. I myself am immunocompromised and otherwise disabled, with a deep well of anger about navigating the ableist world. (Don't get me started on ostomies being used as a punchline). But I think these kinds of pile-ons and anger are bad for my health, so I'm going to go offline.

I agree; I'm not a fan of his joke! Also, he's a kind human I know in the real world. I was pushing back at his rhetorical, dismissive question with my own earnest experience.

I meant "social media is bad" because everyone is fighting to very little end, with very little context about each other.

I experiment with writing it that way (more often I say "I have a compromised immune system"), I think some people respond with more empathy when I use shorter words.

Also, hi! Weird to encounter someone I know in the real world because strangers are mad at him online. Maybe social media's bad.
