Was interesting watching this Jackson Crawford video that brings up the concept of the Ægishjálmur being some manner of force field rather than a literal helmet which reminded me of this old sketch I made trying to tackle that very subject

Also the figure is made out of walrus ivory which made me think of this scene from the saga of Hallfred the troublesome poet where he gets accused of keeping a Thor amulet made of walrus ivory in his money bag

Was really interesting there's been a few articles about this wee fella, that claim maybe its a game piece or a representation of a Viking but he looks very similar to figures that I think depict Thor?
