email to askvisa@visa.com Subj: Please do not make a deal with Elon Musk and X Text: Dear Visa, I have been a Visa cardholder for over 20 years--in fact, for most of these years I have had 2 Visa accounts, one joint with my husband and a personal account. I just read that you plan to make a deal with X, and I'm writing to tell you that I strongly oppose this. X, and its owner Elon Musk, are actively working to dismantle our democracy and further right-wing, white supremacist ideologies. I cannot in good conscience support a company that chooses to work with such a person. If your deal with X goes through, I plan to cancel my Visa cards. This will be a huge inconvenience for me, obviously, because I'll have to switch to a competitor card, but we are at a time when both people and companies need to take a stand, and I know which side I need to be on. I hope you'll choose to be on the right side of history.
