Lamenting the trend of remaking classic films from days of yore as postmodern slasher flicks. Yes, I just watched IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE (in which Justin Long inexplicably elects to imitate the vocal stylings of the Dorothy Michaels character from TOOTSIE). Oh, well.

I recall the combination of stress and joy accompanying my efforts to procure all of the issues on the Mutant Massacre Map back in the day. I am not certain I am capable of following more than a few books in these challenging times.

I had forgotten that Harry Booth, the character played by the great Ernest Borgnine, abandons his comrades and flees the spaceship as a cowardly knave.

Saddened to learn the news of the death of Karl Wallinger of World Party. Very much enjoyed their 1990 album, GOODBYE JUMBO and its very catchy single, “Put The Message in the Box.”
