Absolutely love the art,
But one quick sidenote, Aristostomias does not have a membrane over their pectoral fin rays, as with Malacosteus and apparently the pelvic fins of Photostomias aswell.

Pelican eels are sweet little babies who inflate like balloons to capture tiny plankton. Gulper eels are eldritch predators which consume animals heavier than themselves and should've remained beyond the ken of man.

I've seen that same video clip going around,
Weirdly enough, people seem to be associating it with the recent Schmidt ocean institute expedition,

The fish on the right is Macropinna,
The fish on the left is Winteria telescopa, another species of Barreleye in the family opisthoproctidae.
