"He was very bad for our country." A person's life, and that person using his life to exercise his First Amendment rights, is "bad for our country", according to the worst person and worst President for our country there has ever been. He just said it out loud. What a deranged person.

That's part of it for sure. I hope he's got Vance's ear on this.

Probably so Vance, his friend, can be installed faster.

Um, no he's not. OBVIOUSLY his government is fascist, but signing an order designating some imagnined organization calling itself "antifa" isn't hard evidence of fascism. He's not trying to take down an explicitly anti-fascist rebellion movement.

"This is beneath you and your office. I am so shocked and appalled that you'd say something like this!"

MAGA is so, so, so, so, SOOOOO fucking dumb.

And now the horseshoe ends have met, as both Clinton and Trump are Epstein clients who are in the Epstein Files.

His "hush money" thing was also small in comparison to many offenses. By this guy's logic, his conviction as a felon was unjust.
December 15, 2025 at 9:25 PM
Nope. Justified.

It was a springboard, all right, but in *both* parties - Democrats defending Clinton for his crimes and low character as "just a blowjob", "none of our business", "but his policies", etc. paved the way for how MAGA excuses everything Trump says and does.

Clinton's seemed small in comparison, but so did Trump's "perfect phone call." Both established that if the President is capable of abusing their position and what the office gives them for small and petty things, what's stopping them from eventually going bigger with it?

BOTH were an abuse of Presidential power. Republican and Democrat Presidents alike are capable of it.

That was impeachable too but the impeachment unfortunately didn't happen. What about it?

No. Clinton abused the nation's highest office to keep a personal affair covered. That was grounds for impeachment.

That’s not my argument - that Ds forced Rs to behave badly. I’m a former R, and I find the way Rs have behaved re Trump inexcusable. I do think that convenient excuses and lowered standards take a toll on the political culture, overall.

I see it as exactly the opposite - the moment when the President became untouchable, because there would always be a partisan minority to prevent his removal. There’s a reason Trump palled around with the Clintons so much, at the time.
