to make matters worse, each partition type has a different method of changing UUIDs. makes it really hard to figure out how to do it.

sending out my monthly general reminder to everyone that Linux is ready and good for everything (except for pro audio if you're dug into your favorite daw) and if anyone wants to ditch Windows my dm's are open.

I love this community.

I use blender almost exclusively and it's helped me take some types of short form content down to a minute long activity

only real gotcha is to save a default template where audio export is enabled by default

It's obvious what's being expected here, the theme of the program should be uniform with the color theme of the OS, but the document display should represent the ground truth.

sensible default does not exist here but thankfully this is an extremely easy fix

A while back I mentioned to a friend that I really didn't want to pay for PSN Ultimate but I was interested in trying the game ports. He told me if I wanted to try them so bad, "ya gotta pay the piper". I then paid for a year.

It's now been 3 years since I've last paid for a game subscription.

It's not even that he's not careful with them. These products are just programmed to do that.

General guide that can be adhered to reasonably well:
wiki.archlinux.org/title/PCI_pa...

Guide to dump audio bios is here, but reads absolutely horribly:
www.reddit.com/r/VFIO/comme...

I'm open to replies and my DMs should be open, let me know if you need any help.

The process...
- use QEMU, make a windows virtual machine
- Put up an explicit bind in the Host OS to force the PCIe device to use 'vfio' as a hardware driver and not AMDGPU
- dump the graphics bios (can be done from the host OS)
- dump the audio bios (can be done using the guest windows install)

All the guides stink. AMD iGPUs have an issue where the the vBIOs doesn't exist in/on the gpu itself so the gpu can't 'boot' without being provided a binary dump. It's all fun and games following guides until you realize that windows AMD drivers insist that the iGPU soundcard also has to be present.
