to make matters worse, each partition type has a different method of changing UUIDs. makes it really hard to figure out how to do it.
a quick example with the most likely 3 here:

It's obvious what's being expected here, the theme of the program should be uniform with the color theme of the OS, but the document display should represent the ground truth.

sensible default does not exist here but thankfully this is an extremely easy fix

Windows 11 running in a QEMU vm using my 7900x's iGPU, while linux uses my dedicated card.

If you had told me so much as a year ago that this would be my operating system endgame, I wouldn't have believed you.

I should probably clarify: 8GB of ram, 8GB of flash storage.

This appears to be an unpopulated USB 2.0 header. Tonverk hacking could exist in the future. Someone else can theorize regarding the purpose of the 4 pin header next to it. fan? uart? idk.
September 17, 2025 at 10:16 PM
wow, the elektron tonverk is fucking EMPTY inside

it's an 8gb linux machine. wifi and bluetooth are not available yet.

That's a good point. I just assumed that the cover art for the movie would be symmetrical since the movie is so on the nose about everything being the same backwards and forwards, but apparently it's not because the people who made the art for the dvd don't share christopher nolan's sense of humor

sandisk's usb equivalent of a clown car makes a heatsink and a fan beyond impossible without destroying the utility and aesthetics of this drive.

I'm not worried about issues with this drive since it'll be read-only for the rest of its life thankfully

I'm about to invent a new device called the Flash Drive Cooler.
It'll be a minifridge the shape and size of a USB hub.
It's sole purpose will be to act as a place to keep your crap flash drive between uses to avoid thermal throttling during large file transfers.

this isn't a great solution (because chrome manifest v3 politics) but it's what I always like to do whenever I see an element on a webpage that I never want to see ever again, I add a rule for the element using ublock origin (firefox is being used here)
July 26, 2025 at 5:27 AM
yeah ok

I think it's just misunderstood. It's just a sampler until you start getting used to the more exotic features and decide to stop using a DAW for recording entirely.
